The Ipswich Super 440 marks the final round of the preliminary Pit Stop Challenge, with Saturday’s two races determining which four teams will advance to the 2026 Live Finals to compete for the $20,000 major prize and the coveted Golden Rattle Gun.
Three teams have already mathematically locked in their spots: Brad Jones Racing, Triple Eight Race Engineering and Blanchard Racing Team. The fourth and final position remains open, with the BJR/SCT crew currently holding it by 24 points over PremiAir Racing in ninth, with a maximum of 26 points still available across Saturday’s two races.
Progression is unlikely, but being in the conversation reflects how much work has gone into this area across the season. Competing for the Pit Stop Challenge title wasn’t necessarily on the radar at the start of the year, but improving pit stop performance absolutely was. It’s been a key area of focus for the team throughout 2026, with the crew putting in hours of practice and development work to get faster and more consistent. And that dedication is starting to show.
