PRECISION AND CONFIDENCE ARE KEY TO MELBOURNE SUPERSPRINT

After kicking off our 2025 Supercars campaign at Sydney Motorsport Park just weeks ago, we are very excited to bring Jimmy Golding and Richie Stanaway and the PremiAir Racing Camaros to the iconic Albert Park circuit for this weekend’s Melbourne Super Sprint, part of the Australian Grand Prix.

The event presents a unique challenge to the entire Supercars field, as we are racing on an international grade F1 circuit with very distinct characteristics that we don’t often see elsewhere.

It demands precision and confidence, with high-speed sections and technical corners which test the drivers and engineering teams.

Getting the set-up right will be crucial, especially with the limited practice time available during such a busy weekend. It will be a challenging one for sure, but it is a challenge we are more than ready for.

The atmosphere at this event is always electric too which just increases our excitement. Racing in front of such a massive crowd adds another dimension to our weekend, and we are determined to put on a great show for all of the PremiAir Racing fans who will be there cheering us on.

This will be the fifth trip to the Albert Park circuit as part of the Supercars championship for Jimmy Golding, with a previous best race result of 11th at last year’s event (race four) and a best qualifying result of 7th, which came during qualifying for race three of the 2023 event.

Richie Stanaway meanwhile will be enjoying his fourth visit to the Melbourne venue and his first with PremiAir Racing, hoping to better a previous best race result of 7th from last year’s race three, and a best qualifying result of 8th (for race one last year).

Something else we need to keep in mind this weekend is our upcoming schedule.

Following the Melbourne Super Sprint, our cars won’t be coming home, instead they will be quickly turned around and then packed into a shipping container to start the trip over to New Zealand for the Taupo Super 440 (April 11-13).

And then, by the time the cars are back at the workshop, we will only have a few days to get ready for the trip to Tasmania for the Tasmania Super 440 event (May 9-11).

This basically means we have to have three events in mind and of course more than ever we want to make sure we avoid anything that will call for heavy repairs as time will be of the essence over the coming weeks.

See you in Melbourne!
