Premiair Racing has enjoyed a positive start to the Perth Super440, with both cars showing encouraging pace across Friday’s two practice sessions at Wanneroo Raceway.
The team hit the ground running in the opening 25-minute session, quickly establishing a strong baseline before continuing to build throughout the afternoon. With ideal conditions under blue skies, engineers and drivers worked through the planned run programme, gathering valuable data and refining the setup ahead of the weekend’s competitive sessions.
Practice 2 provided another opportunity to trial a number of setup changes, allowing the team to further understand the package and continue making gains. By the end of the day, both Camaros had demonstrated strong pace, providing confidence heading into Saturday.
Friday also carried a special occasion for the team, with driver Jayden Ojeda celebrating his birthday at the circuit. It was a fitting way to mark the day, spending it behind the wheel and helping the team put together a productive start to the Perth weekend.
With two solid practice sessions complete, the focus now turns to analysing the day’s data and making final refinements overnight before qualifying and racing get underway on Saturday.
The team will return to the track tomorrow aiming to build on Friday’s momentum as the Perth Super440 continues.
Nic Carroll (Team Operations)
“We’ve just wrapped up Friday practice here in Perth, and it was a productive day for the team at PremiAir Racing.
Both cars made good progression throughout their practice sessions, and as a team everything ran smoothly with their respective programs. Today’s running has given us a solid foundation heading into tomorrow’s qualifying.
We’ll go through everything tonight as a team, analyse the data and identify where we can improve ahead of tomorrow’s qualifying and races. It was a positive day, and we’re looking forward to building on it tomorrow.”
