THE LAST STAND (FOR NOW):

PETER PREVIEWS THE 2025 ADELAIDE GRAND FINAL

It is somewhat surreal to be heading to Adelaide this weekend for the 2025 Supercars Grand Final – on the one hand, it feels like we only just rolled out to start this season, but on the other hand, it also feels like we have lived a whole lifetime in these past ten months.

To describe the 2025 season as a roller coaster would be more than apt, and it is one that we are of course hoping to end on a high rather than a dip!

This event will mark our fourth trip to Adelaide, and to be honest, the previous ones haven’t really given us much to celebrate, so we will be looking to change that this weekend so we can give our partners and supporters something positive to close out the year – this is front of mind for the whole team for sure.

As well as marking the end of our current season, the Grand Final also brings to a close our relationship with Jimmy Golding after three and a half years of hard work and growth.

We are really looking forward to getting into it this weekend with him aboard the #31 PremiAir Racing Camaro for one final time, and when all is said and done, we will sincerely shake his hand and thank him for all his hard work and dedication.

After a solid ‘main driver’ debut at Sandown, our 2026 recruit Jayden Ojeda will be getting another valuable weekend under his belt with us and the #62 PremiAir Racing Camaro as we continue building his foundation for next season.

Speaking of Sandown, it has been busy since we left Victoria – the crew has been turning around the cars at full pace, and I am very proud of their efforts. The cars only came out of the trailer last Wednesday; they had a full service and were back in the transporter ready for Mick to leave by Saturday afternoon – a huge job and one that is greatly appreciated.

And there is still so much work to come – Adelaide always delivers big crowds and a tough street circuit, so there will be a lot to do both on and off the track, and when it comes to the racing, all mistakes here are heavily punished, so discipline from our whole group will be key.

While we might only have one event left for our season, we won’t be putting our feet up once the checkered flag falls on Sunday afternoon, either.

The work we do this weekend will set the tone for our off-season and the start of our 2026 campaign, the preparations for which will begin (or should we say continue) immediately following the conclusion of the Adelaide Grand Final. So, no matter what happens this weekend, it will be a case of always keeping our eyes forward on the long-term goals we have set for ourselves.

So, for one final time in 2025, let’s go racing! We are ready to finish our season on a strong note and take some momentum into 2026.
