PREMIAIR RACING GEARS UP FOR HISTORIC 2026 NEW ZEALAND DOUBLE HEADER
Stanaway Flys in for Christchurch Announcement Ahead of Landmark South Island Debut
Premiair Racing is excited to celebrate the confirmation of dates for the first-ever Repco Supercars Championship New Zealand Double Header, following yesterday’s announcement in Christchurch. The historic back-to-back rounds are set for April 2026, with Supercars racing in Taupō from 10–12 April, before heading south to Ruapuna Raceway in Christchurch from 17–19 April.
Premiair Racing’s own Kiwi driver, Richie Stanaway, made a special trip directly from the Darwin round to Christchurch to be part of the milestone announcement.
“This is huge for New Zealand motorsport and something we’ve all been hoping for,” said Stanaway. “To finally have Supercars coming to the South Island, and for me to race at home in front of friends, family and passionate Kiwi fans—it’s going to be very special. I’m proud to represent Premiair Racing on home soil and can’t wait to hit the track in Christchurch.”
The confirmation marks the beginning of a three-year commitment for Taupō and Christchurch to host alternating rounds through to 2028, giving fans across both islands the chance to witness world-class Supercars action.
Premiair Racing looks forward to showcasing its program in front of New Zealand’s passionate motorsport community and building even stronger ties with its growing Kiwi fanbase.
