That’s a top-five finish for Jimmy Golding and the #31 PremiAir Nulon Racing Camaro! Tim was right up there for the majority of the race, too, although a slower-than-expected final pit stop, unfortunately, saw his potential in the #23 PremiAir Nulon Racing Camaro not reflected in his finishing result.

Four laps remaining—Jimmy makes a stellar move, overtaking Mostert to claim P5!
Five laps remaining, and Jimmy is the fastest on the track, rapidly closing the gap to Mostert!
Lap 47 – With 13 laps to go, Jimmy is holding firm in P6. Unfortunately, Tim has dropped to P21 following a slower-than-expected pit stop.
Lap 40: Tim makes a pit stop for tyres and fuel. Despite a slower-than-expected stop, he’s back out on track, pushing hard to regain positions.
Lap 36: Crew prepped for a swift pit stop for Jimmy—four tyres and fuel. Quick turnaround planned for Tim as well.
Lap 35 – Tim reports that his rear tyres are gone, causing him to drop back to P10 and Jimmy P6.
Lap 30 – Planning to pit again in 7 laps, with Jimmy likely to stop first.
Rain is falling in paddocks to the north of the circuit, and there are report of drops in pit lane
Lap 26: Tim’s in P4, Jimmy in P6. Mirko over the radio: “Good job, Tim. Take care of those tyres; we need another 15 laps on this set.”

Alright, Tim is prepared and geared up for his turn in the shootout.
That’s qualifying wrapped up in much drier conditions this morning, with Tim Slade on his way to another Top Ten Shootout with the 7th fastest time of the 15 minute session in the #23 PremiAir Nulon Racing Camaro, while Jimmy Golding will start this afternoon’s race from P16 in the #31 PremiAir Nulon Racing Camaro
Make sure you stay tuned at 12.25pm to see if Tim can advance further up the grid, ahead of the race start at 3.05 pm.

It might be a case of what could have been for Tim in the #23 PremiAir Nulon Racing Camaro, but what an effort from Jimmy and the crew on the #31 PremiAir Nulon Racing Camaro, taking it an incredible 15 spots up the field to finish P7 in an exceptionally wet race today – you can’t wipe the smiles off our faces!

lap 24 Update: Jimmy’s on a charge and has broken into the top 10. He’s now hot on the heels of Will Brown!
Lap 16 update: Jimmy overtakes a bull, moving up to P11.
Lap 14 update: Jimmy has climbed up to P12.

Tim got off to a strong start but was nudged sideways into the fence, triggering a full course yellow.

It sure was wet out there for the Top Ten Shootout, and it just got wetter as the session went on!
Tim was the pioneer as the first out on the slippery track, laying down a time which sees him start this afternoon’s race from the second row on the grid in P4 in the #23 PremiAir Nulon Racing Camaro – great job Tim!
