One-third into his first full season overseeing PremiAir Racing, Roland Dane can already see the signs of progress he came to build.
The veteran team principal who transformed Briggs Motorsport into the most dominant team in Supercars history is now applying that same patient, structured approach at PremiAir, working to build the solid foundations he believes are essential for long-term success.
“We are getting there,” Dane said. “The only time you can be happy is when you qualify on pole, get the fastest lap and be one-two in every race, and we are a long way from that, but we are getting there gradually.”
The results are beginning to reflect it. Jayden “Juice” Ojeda has delivered three top-10 finishes across the past three events, with an unbroken run of top-15 results. Declan Fraser has also notched his second career top-10, adding momentum as the season builds.
Dane identified Tasmania as a turning point in the team’s rhythm. “The season has been spasmodic and no flow yet, but maybe now we will, and that makes it easier.”
For Dane, the real work lies beneath the results. “I am enjoying working with a group of young people who are making me feel younger, who really want to improve,” he said. “But it is about building the foundations of the team properly. The team has had a couple of good results over the last few years, but it is spasmodic because the foundations were not solid enough, and we are trying to make sure they are now.”

With Darwin now in the books, PremiAir Racing heads towards the Townsville 500 with momentum, belief, and a team that is clearly finding its feet.
