FUCHS LUBRICANTS RACING UNVEILS BATHURST 12 HOUR DRIVER LINE-UP

FUCHS LUBRICANTS and PremiAir Racing have partnered with Schumacher Motorsport for the fast-approaching Bathurst 12 Hour, and today is pleased to announce its driver line-up for the event.

Frédéric Vervisch, Jimmy Golding and Brad Schumacher will team up to drive the FUCHS LUBRICANTS-sponsored Audi R8 LMS Evo II at the prestigious February 3-5 event.

Belgian racing driver Vervisch has scored multiple titles and victories during his career across Formula 3, Superleague Formula, Champcar Atlantic and GT racing. He is currently driving for Audi Customer Racing, with the partnership yielding victories at the 24 Hours of Nürbürgring, 10 Hours of Suzuka, 24 Hours of Dubai and the Macau World Touring Car Cup, amongst others.

Golding is the driver of PremiAir Racing’s #31 entry in the Supercars Championship and impressed last year with multiple top ten race and qualifying results, as well as two Shootout appearances, despite only joining the team mid-way through its debut season.

Schumacher is the team principal of Schumacher Motorsport and the owner of the car which the trio will field at the prestigious car race. He has competed in three previous Bathurst 12 Hours, securing fourth outright in 2022 when he teamed up with the factory backed Audi Customer Racing, and two third in class results (2019 and 2020). The 2021 GT World Challenge Australia Trophy Championship Winner last year claimed second in both the GT World Challenge Australia Trophy Championship and Endurance Championship and teamed up with PremiAir Racing’s Tim Slade at the Bathurst International to finish as the runner-up in that race.

PremiAir Racing Team Principal, Matt Cook, said he felt confident this driver combination would be a competitive force at The Mountain across February 3-5.

“The Bathurst 12 Hour is a fantastic event and we were quick to grab the opportunity when it came by for us to be a part of it,” Cook said.

“Not only is it a great event and something new for us to try, you can’t go past the chance for so many more laps not only in general, but especially at Mount Panorama, and it will be great for our team and Jimmy to have that extra track time as we prepare for the 2023 Supercars championship season start.

“We are also very excited about having Frédéric Vervisch join our line-up. Frédéric is a very successful racing driver with numerous titles to his name, and plenty of experience at the wheel of these cars.

“Brad is also certainly no slouch when it comes to GT racing, with proven experience in both this event and GT racing in general, including being the winner (2021) and then runner-up (2022) in the GT World Challenge Australia and claiming second at the Bathurst International event with Tim last year.

“We can’t wait to see Frédéric, Jimmy, and Brad team up – together, we fully expect that they will be a force to be reckoned with at the Bathurst 12 Hour, and we look forward to seeing them battling for outright honours on February 5.”

The Bathurst 12 Hour will be held at Mount Panorama in Bathurst across February 3-5, 2023. For event information, visit
