WE ARE READY FOR BUMPER BEND 500
The final countdown to the 2025 Supercars endurance season is now upon us, with this weekend’s The Bend 500 set to put all of the teams to the test in style at The Bend Motorsport Park.
It is the first time for Supercars holding an enduro at The Bend, after a long tenure of holding the precursor to the Bathurst 1000 at Sandown International Raceway.
While we are of course looking forward to heading to Sandown for the penultimate round of the year, there is something special about having an endurance event at The Bend, and it has all of us counting down the hours until we roll out on what is an impressive racetrack.
There is no doubting that it is a fantastic facility, and it is one that we love to compete at. I often drive past this great place when transferring equipment between our PremiAir Hire depots in Melbourne and Adelaide and always reflect on my two times racing here in Top Fuel and our two times in Supercars also.
500 kilometres around this place will offer a true test of teamwork, reliability, and strategy, while providing a perfect base to see where we are ahead of the big one in October.
As always, we are very grateful for all of the support of our partners and fans as we embark on this endurance campaign, and we are confident that our preparation will put us in a strong position to achieve a good result.
While we get ready to head down to Tailem Bend, we are also getting ready for something very cool – the unveiling of another striking Peter Hughes livery which we will carry for our 2025 endurance season. We will be taking the covers off at 10.00am on Wednesday 10 September at the brand-new NAPA Auto Parts store at 58 Link Drive, Yatala, QLD 4207 – so if you are in the area, head on down and get a look while checking out the new store.
