PREMIAIR NULON RACING READYING TO STEP UP EVEN FURTHER IN 2025

It has been another big year for PremiAir Nulon Racing in both the Supercars and national Top Fuel championships, with the team and its drivers stepping up across the board to bring home standout results as they continue to grow and evolve their competitive offering.

Never ones to rest, the PremiAir Nulon Racing team is already working on a busy preparation program for 2025, where they intend to step it up another gear, both in Supercars and on the drag strip.

“It has been another huge year, there is absolutely no doubt about that,” reflected PremiAir Nulon Racing Team Owner, and Top Fuel pilot, Peter Xiberras, following the Supercars season finale.

“We have been working relentlessly at the track and in the workshop to take steps forward in every aspect of our racing program, and it has been so pleasing to see that effort paying off.

“When you look at our Supercars program, the progress is clear.

“In 2022, we enjoyed two Top Ten Shootouts and five top ten race finishes. In 2023, we brought home no less than ten Top Ten Shootouts appearances and 14 Top Ten race finishes.

“Now in 2024, we have celebrated our first podium finish and did so at one of the biggest events of the year, the Sandown 500, while also enjoying our first pole position which was set in Darwin in both qualifying and the subsequent Shootout, while tallying up 15 top ten race results including five in the top five, and 18 top ten qualifying positions – with four of those in the top five and ten of those set in Shootouts.

“Outside of ‘the numbers’, our working group is more knowledgeable and working together better than ever before, which is so important in a high-stakes, high-paced competition such as Supercars.

“On the drag strip, we rounded out the 2023/2024 season on a high, advancing to third in the Top Fuel championship standings following a B-Final victory at the Winternationals finale – the largest championship drag racing event held outside of the US – not long after taking out two A-Final victories in two days in Sydney in the penultimate round of the title chase.

“Of course, you can never be satisfied in this game – the pursuit for perfection is unrelenting, and we are already working hard to make sure we can take things even further in 2025.”

On the drag strip, that means a comprehensive testing program before Xiberras will contest the PremiAir Hire Top Fuel Dragster for the first time for the 2024/2025 season at Willowbank Raceway’s New Year Nitro event across January 10-11.

In the Supercars garages, the Camaros are undergoing an overhaul while new-for-2025 driver Richie Stanaway joins with team-mate Jimmy Golding and the engineering and mechanical team ahead of the 2025 season-opening Sydney 500 (February 21-25) to strategize for a busy season ahead.

“In the meantime, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person that makes up PremiAir Nulon Racing both in our Supercars and Top Fuel operations for their enduring effort and dedication, and also our valued sponsors and race fans for their unwavering support,” Xiberras said.

“I would also like to make a special mention of departing driver Tim Slade, who finished up his full-time Supercars career at the Adelaide 500 – Tim is a great driver and a true gentleman of the sport, and we thank him for all his work over the past two years with us while wishing him all the best for the future.”
