STRONG START FOR PREMIAIR RACING IN PERTH

Two Supercars practice sessions at Wanneroo Raceway have seen PremiAir Racing get its Perth Super 440 campaign off to a strong start today, including a top ten and a top five result.

Across the two 30-minute sessions, Jimmy Golding logged 10th and 5th quickest laps in the #31 PremiAir Racing Camaro, while Richie Stanaway set the 13th and 14th quickest laps in the #62 PremiAir Racing entry.

The team headed into today’s practice with a comprehensive preparatory plan ahead of the weekend’s qualifying and racing, taking great care to execute that across their track time – which was extended in P2 with a lengthy red flag period at the mid-point which the team took advantage of to make setup changes in the garage.

PremiAir Racing and the rest of the Supercars field will be back on-track tomorrow for back to back qualifying for races 14 and 15 from 11.45am, followed by races 14 and 15 themselves at 2.55pm and 6.10pm respectively, with both races to be contested over 50 laps. QUOTEBOARD: PERTH SUPER 440 – Friday 6 June, 2025

Ludo Lacroix – Competition Director, PremiAir Racing

“That was an acceptable start to our weekend. Jimmy did a good job and has an understanding of where he is at, so I feel that the #31 is in the top ten overall, in my opinion. In the #62 we have some good elements but we just need to pull a full lap together. We are searching for a tiny bit more probably, but are still trying to understand if we need turn or we need stability. Hopefully we can find that sweet spot where Richie knows what he needs to go faster and I can give that to him, if I am. I am positive there are good elements but of course we would have liked to be a bit closer. We need to do a good job for tomorrow, I have a couple of things in my head that can work better I think, so we will try and put it together.”

Jimmy Golding – #31 PremiAir Racing Camaro

“It was a pretty good day for us today. We had a pretty well thought out plan heading into the weekend and just executed that well. We ticked all the boxes and tried a few things; we threw a few changes at it for the second one and it was definitely the right direction, so I am looking forward to tomorrow. It will be a new challenge again running at a different time of day for qualifying. Getting the tyres switched on will be the main focus and target for us, but I am feeling pretty confident and the car feels good so far.”

Richie Stanaway – #62 PremiAir Racing Camaro

“It has been a busy day of preparation and there are definitely some positive elements to take away from how we were able to run today in the #62. There is stuff to improve as well and we are working hard now to try and identify what we should be changing to try and get to a point where we can really stitch the strong laps together and advance us further up that grid tomorrow.”
