Further Camaro Parity Tweaks Ahead of Tasmania

Supercars has confirmed a revised aerodynamic package for the Chevrolet Camaro ahead of the Tyrepower Tasmania Super440 at Symmons Plains Raceway on May 22–24.

The changes follow a series of adjustments made to the Camaro’s aerodynamic setup at the Christchurch round, which were aimed at shifting the car’s balance rearward. Those modifications included a reduction in front splitter leading edge, movement of the rear wing position rearward and upwards, and a reduction of rear wing angle.

Following further analysis and a follow-up track test at Queensland Raceway, Supercars has determined a small additional revision is required ahead of Tasmania.

The front splitter will be returned to its original pre-Christchurch position, a small packer will be installed along the wheel band of the front fascia, and the rear wing angle will be increased by 0.4 degrees.

Supercars motorsport boss Tim Edwards confirmed the changes in a note to the Commission.

“Post the change that was made to the Chevrolet Camaro at Christchurch, Supercars have undertaken further analysis which has determined a small change is required to further optimise this,” Edwards wrote.

“Consultation has taken place with the three homologation teams and the change will be implemented for the Tasmania round.”

Edwards also confirmed that further investigations are continuing into the Camaro’s Balance Parity box.

The Christchurch changes were triggered after the Camaro’s track performance prompted a review under the new-for-2026 parity system. Supercars retains the right to revisit and revise any changes within two rounds of their implementation.
